The 7-week Create Your Personalized Autism Parenting Handbook Training equips you with the knowledge and strategies to take on the case manager role for your child and create a personalized guide tailored to their unique ASD profile and needs. The comprehensive toolkit you create is designed to support your child at home, at school, and in the community. You will learn how to parent and collaborate with your child’s support team effectively, using ASD-friendly tools and techniques.

Sessions are organized with presentations, interactive exercises, and opportunities to share. As a participant, you will receive a copy of Take Charge of Treatment for Your Child with Asperger’s (ASD) and a training notebook filled with daily agendas, organizational sheets, practical tools, and motivational quotes. This training is designed to be empowering, impactful, and supportive while offering an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.

Take charge of post-secondary transition planning with our 5-week virtual training for parents and caregivers. This interactive course offers step-by-step, ASD-informed guidance, customizable exercises, and expert advice to make transition planning approachable, organized, and effective for both parents and teens. This training prepares families for what to expect in post-secondary life, laying a solid foundation for transition planning.

Each session is co-facilitated by Cornelia Elwood, MA, LMHC & Certified Autism Specialist, a licensed clinical mental health counselor and coach, and Meaghan Dwyer, Med, high school program director, administrator and special educator.
